Introduction	Laura L. McDermott, BIS, LE, MA has been in the aesthetics industry for nearly ten years. She has practiced as an esthetician, medical assistant and certified laser technician in Arizona. In 2005 she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication from Arizona State University. Combining her hands-on experience as a skin care professional and her passion for skin, she then began working as a regional sales director, trainer and an educator. Over the last four years, she has taught at the Skin & Makeup Institute, Clearskin Laser Centre and various CME workshops. In November 2008, Laura was added to Cambridge Who’s Who in the Healthcare Field for her professional accomplishments. She is currently working with DermaSweep as the Director of Training & Continuing Education, where she works closely with UCI Dermatology Center on advanced mechanical resurfacing protocols. Laura is also heavily involved with charity events, benefiting various charities like breast cancer and children.
