| Introduction | I will be traveling to Alicante, Spain from May 26 to June 24. I will be living with a host family and going to class from 9 - 1 on Monday - Friday. There are 12 other Eastern students going with me, but we are each living with a different family. Most people in Alicante speak either Spanish or Valencian, and only the tourists speak English. Traveling to a foreign country and living with a family who doesn't speak English is definitly out of my comfort zone. Hopefully this experience will open my eyes to Spanish culture and language, and help me to become a stronger, more independent woman. |
