| Introduction | This intrepid curiosity junkie's intro to world travel took place early. My parents took me on a sweeping Mexico tour at age five. Searing images of hideosly grinning gargoyles on The Pyramids Of The Sun and Moon outside Mexico City and silouhetted cliff divers at sunset in Acapulco were the first lasting impressions I can recall. A Semester Abroad in England later hooked me as an international traveler. Took that opportunity to visit ALL of the British Isles and have been lucky enough to return seven times. Have seen England, far better than most Limeys (part of the reason is that The English are famous for visiting other countries than their own). Similar trips to over 50 countries have followed. These trips came about from employment reward options, personal curiosity and a desire to fill in the map, family travel, or a goal to share the world with my sons. The latest trip beginning January of 2011, was solo to The Antarctica Peninsula, followed by all of the 13 countries comprising the continent of South America (plus Easter Island and four countries in the Caribbean on the way home). |
