| Introduction | Who am I? I’m an aspiring author, poet and blogger whose travels have taken him to inspiring places. My journey as a writer began at age 12 when I read the book “Dinotopia” and received a response from the author, James Gurney, after querying him in 6th grade. Since then, I’ve written numerous vanity titles for my family. I am a resident of San Luis Obispo, California where I have lived since 1991. I graduated Cum Laude from California State University Monterey Bay in 2006 with a BA Degree in Creative Writing and Social Action. I’ve had many opportunities to travel all over North America as well as traveling internationally to Japan and France. I am an enthusiastic student of history and culture, specifically regarding Japan. My curiosity began in kindergarten when I tasted seaweed for the first time at a friend’s house. Since then I have traveled to Japan three times to enjoy the “authentic” country beyond the pop culture. My career as a writer has just begun with blogging and I am working towards becoming a published author with upcoming novels. My latest work is a melding of ancient legend and historical research inspired by my lifelong interest. |
