| Favorite music | I love "old" music that speaks to my sensibilities (the cure, joy division, the smiths, elliot smith) yet i find music that may actually not be as timeless(death cab for cutie, the postal service, the arcade fire, the polyphonic spree, broken social scene, blonde redhead) to fulfill my musical needs more often, and more fully, deeply, usefully. i believe that this is a sign that the contemporary is often community. This is where postmodernist detachment ceases to be of any worth. |

When you spilled the milk, did it look like the moon?
It looked like a blood moon, which is strange because milk isn't the color of blood, everybody knows that. But it had that same sort of oversized quality, it was spread out further and was closer than it ever should have been. Blood moons scare the shit out of me.
