| Introduction | Blake and I went to middle school together, but we didn't really become friends until high school. Blake moved away during our junior year of high school. We kept touch for a few months, but that was it. We had not spoken in 7 years when I received an email from him. He was living in Pensacola, FL working on a project for the Navy base. I had just moved back to Atlanta from my years of traveling. Blake was touching base and he said "I am sure you are married and have children, but I just wanted to see how things were going with you." I responded by telling him I was not married, nor did I have children and asked him point blank how much longer until he was going to come up to Atlanta and take me on a date. He took me out that weekend and in 9 months, we were engaged. We got married on September 22, 2007, and we welcomed Lottie, our first daughter on December 14, 2008. The last 3 years have moved very quickly, and we are soaking in every moment. We have a dog named Emma. We also had one named Gladys but she found a new home with Blake's mom and Phil on a farm in Florida where she met her new best friends Buffy and Sox. Blake is surround by 3 women. God bless him!!! |
