Introduction	An award-winning PR practitioner with 20+ years experience in the field, I began my career in journalism with The Washington Times and later with community newspapers in Baltimore where I was a reporter, editor and columnist. Today, I freelance for papers in the Baltimore area and co-write a dating/relationship column. A summa cum laude graduate in writing and English Literature, I earned my master's at Johns Hopkins University. I've been a competitive fencer for 21 years and helped start two annual fencing-oriented fundraising events. I served as editor and publicist for my 80something father's first book of poetry in 2005. I've tried everything from calligraphy to horseback riding to training at the Adult Space Academy in Huntsville, Alabama.
Interests	friends, family, films, food, fencing, words that begin with "f" evidently, theater, volunteer work, delving the human condition
Favorite movies	Clerks, Brazil, Glory, Paths of Glory, LOTR, Downfall, Inherit the Wind, The Thing (both versions), just about anything with a good story to tell and intriguing characters.
Favorite music	Everything except rap, though I do like some of Will Smith's stuff, but I think he's gone too far Establishment to really count.
Favorite books	WICKED by Gregory Maguire, anything by Nick Hornby, Kurt Vonnegut, the guy who wrote RUNNING WITH SCISSORS.
