Introduction | My socio-political philosohy:
> Income inequality is inherently destructive to any society. Those who perpetuate income inequality within society, including most economic and movement conservatives, Social Darwinists, and all believers in utilitarianism in general are antisocial and pathological. > If you say you are a Buddhist, act like Buddha. If you say you are a Christian, act like Christ. If you say you are a Muslim, act like Mohammed. If you say you are Hindu, act like the Bhagavad Gita. If you claim to be ANYTHING, be the essence of that thing. Hypocrisy is really annoying. > "Only the educated are free" - Aristotle. A society that does not teach its youth more than just enough to succeed in the workplace is doomed to ruin. Every child, and every adult, should at least have a basic understanding of classical literature, history, culture, civics, art, music, science, mathematics, technology, international affairs, economics, logic, rhetoric, public speaking and debate, foreign languages, Latin, Greek, and penmanship. These create cultural context. And it isn't "elitist": this is the PUBLIC SCHOOL CURRICULUM from 1950!!! |
