| Introduction | Hi, I’m Farrah. I’m a 30-year-old working professional and have been waiting for years for the “right” moment to take a BIG trip. But the longer I wait, the farther I get from the “right” moment. So I’ve decided there is no better time than now to go find my big adventure. My fiancé is a Captain in the U.S. Marine Corps and I couldn’t be more proud. He’s deploying for several months in August 2013, so while he’s away serving our country, I thought I would do some service of my own. I’m packing my bags, catching a flight (or three!), and heading to Nepal with my friend, Anna, for a month of voluntourism. We’ll be splitting our time traveling and exploring Kathmandu, volunteering in an orphanage, and teaching English to monks in a Buddhist monastery. I’ll be documenting our travels here. Enjoy! |
