| Introduction | I've been a student of New Orleans Voodoo for close to 20 years and, as a practitioner, have seen things manifest that were little short of miraculous. Unfortunately Hollywood movies have portrayed Voodoo as evil; a practice of using voodoo dolls to curse people, rituals to steal souls and turn people into zombies, sacrificing humans and babies to accomplish whatever evil deeds the practitioner wishes to accomplish. In reality, Voodoo is a religion that's been practiced in Haiti for thousands of years before making its way to the United States. New Orleans Voodoo works on the premise of using the forces of nature to attract to yourself whatever it is that you desire. There are no sacrifices made. There is nothing sinister or evil about it. Saints much like the saints in Catholicism are worshipped and petitioned to for divine guidance and assistance. My book, Voodoo or Voodon't is the heartwarming story of the experiences I had in using New Orleans Voodoo to attract the love of my life to me |
