Introduction	I am a queer mother. An 'other mother' partnered with the beautiful birth mother of our son. I am learning my home country from a new perspective - Southern. As a native New Yorker transplanted in Austin, Texas, everything I see and do is touched by my new coordinates. We are an interracial (Indian/White Lebanese) interfaith (Hindu/athiest) North/South family (yes, my lovely lady is a Texan :) These offer yet another set of coordinates for our lives to traverse, get tangled up in and emerge from with grace. Or so we try.
