| Introduction | This is me with the dreaded dog. We live on six acres of bush a little south of Hobart in sunny Tasmania. My wife of 30 years is a librarian and special-needs teacher, and I teach science. Four grown up sons and a somewhat deranged dog called Topsy complete the family. I like making things. Over the years, I've built four interesting houses (one with genuine secret passages), four decent workshops, many musical instruments, a large tablesaw, a bandsaw, various lathes, a 4-WD tractor, a recumbent trike, and other bits and bobs. Apart from writing and tinkering in my shed, I enjoy hobby farming, cycling, home-brewed beer, alternative energy, theology and on-line forums. |
