Introduction	After recently finding out that I have Type 1 Diabetes at the age of 26, I have felt even more inspired to continue training and participating in 5k's, triathlons, and whatever next may come my way. As the diagnosis came as a surprise, and in the matter of one day I began a lifelong challenge of managing my diabetes with insulin, I have been told to focus on one day at time. I plan on using this blog as a means for expressing the challenges I face, as well as the triumph's I experience as a result of determination, hard work and sacrifice. I also hope it will give me the opportunity to learn from others' life experiences!
