Introduction	My name is Laura. I participate in the 9 to 5 scene during the day, but as soon as I get home the homesteading starts. I kick off my high heals and get my hands in the dirt. Homesteading has always been a part of my life. My grandparents lived by a lake, hunted and grew their own food until my late teens when they finally had to move closer to family. By that time my uncle bought an apple orchard and he would continue to take my grandpa hunting. Being able to provide for yourself, is empowering. If you have even an inch or land, you can grow something. Just because I live in suburbia, I don't let that hold me back from my homesteading aspirations. I was lucky enough to marry a man who enjoys and enables my crazy projects. He has even suggested some for me, and taken on a few of his own.
