| Interests | dead weighting and dutch ovening my cats milo & bailey, overusing elipses, being ridiculous, being obnoxious in public, trying to creep strangers out without laughing, sneak attack, fart in a cup, dead weight, shouting "WHOLE BEEF TENDERLO" at random people on the street in dubuque (kids are the most fun...old people who look like they are going to have a heart attack are the least...), pulling out lines from shows that no one has seen and keep on going even though they don't know what you're talking about (i.e. trailer park boys and bbc office), talking to my cats as if they understand me, making them talk back, pretty much using my two cats as various forms of entertainment as i see fit. what else... i desparately miss being creative. i am very into old, nostalgic, lost handmade arts. back when i was in school and had access to studio spaces, i did a lot of handmade bookbinding, letterpress printing, photopolymer plates, handmade papermaking, printmaking, manual b/w photography, graphic design (which isn't old, but still cool). i try to freelance and develop my small business (mishka) on the side, but with my job, that gets to be difficult. i also like music, travel, frank lloyd wright, reading, movies, politics, in the old days i used to write and perform music, act, write poetry and short stories...once upon a time i played the piano and clarinet |
| Favorite Movies | changes every time i see a good movie...some to mention- the departed, zodiac, the last king of scotland, capote, the yes men, crash, wedding crashers, 40-year old virgin, crash, bad santa, dodgeball, old school, shawshank redemption, braveheart, a time to kill, clerks, office space...and many others |
| Favorite Music | ecclectic (yeah, that's what everyone says...) i do like a lot of different music, but if i had to narrow down my main genre, i would say i primarily listen to female solo artists--> rachael yamagata, ms. john soda, natalie merchant, dido, tori amos, chantal kreviazuk, aimee mann, beth orton, lisa loeb, sarah mclachlan, alana davis, beth hart, etc. i also love elvis costello. i like the beatles, jack johnson, john mayer, matt caplan...oh so many to name |
