| Introduction | I work in a variety of media including acrylics, watercolors, mixed-media and my sculpture pieces was derive after visit from brazil. Has really inspired of a fascinating of Ghanaian and Brazilian culture blending with both art and fashion world. I recycle found materials from the surrounding environment – wood, rubber gallons for water, plastic pipes from the trash, and aluminum and bolts from cars. I turn these materials into sculptures on conservation, climate change, and poverty alleviation. They take the form of long wooden planks with plastic buckets for faces and pieces of trash and metal for other body parts. My work combines activism and art, addressing society’s cultural, political, and economic inadequacies on climate change. The art implicates both the individual and the government. It urges people into action and attempts to rectify the current state of ignorance. |
