| Introduction | I have spent my life around boats and boatyards both my father and grandfather were boatbuilders and designers. I lived on Kawau island as a young child and went to school on the North Shore of Auckland. In partnership with my brother we ran the family boat building business for 30 years before becoming a lecturer of Marine Technology at Unitec. |
