| Introduction | Boyd Hill Nature Preserve is a 245 acre preserve located along the south shore of Lake Maggiore. Some park features are: 1) More than three miles of trails and boardwalks 2) Five unique ecosystems: hardwood hammocks, sand pine scrub, pine flatwoods, willow marsh and lake shore. 3) Interpretive programming on a variety of environmental and natural history topics. 4) Part of the Great Florida Birding Trail. 5) Annual butterfly count with the North American Butterfly Association. 6) Bird of prey aviary. 7) Guided tours, group rentals and overnight camping facilities available. 8) Picnic areas, playground and gift shop. |
