| Introduction | My name is Fran. Mother of 5, grandmother to 11. Some of my favorite things are...I love to make the old jams and pickles like my mother and grandmothers made. I love to quilt like my grandmas did, with bits pieces of life. I look at a quilt and it has to say "come and lie down, cuddle up with me, I will warm you and make you feel better when your tired or sick". It should have the faint whiff of Vicks Vaporub and all those childhood memories of bedtime stories. A quilt should speak of pillow fights and sleeping in a tent in the back yard when it's too hot to sleep inside and only the backyard will do. A quilt should be able to be brought to picnics, and brought home with a bit of sand to shake out. It should be able to wrap up the dog when he's sick and has to be taken to the vet. A quilt to me, means warm memories, security, comfort and love. |

| Favorite music | Pavaroti, ('cause my Dad sounded just like him and I can never hear "Oh Holy Night" done by Pavorati, without it bringing a tear to my eye), Children's choirs singing anything, Chaikosky, Mozart, Ravel, Strauss, Celtic Music, I just love 'Lord of the Dance' and traditional folk and Irish balads. French ditties from my childhood. Songs of 'Edith Piaf" |
