Introduction	There's a great t-shirt that says "Born in Maine, Living in Exile." I can't wear it though, because it would be a little misleading (and my personal code prohibits wearing slogan t-shirts). You see, I was Born in Southern California, but I was Raised in Maine. My whole childhood was spent sledding in winter, sloshing through the mud in spring, swatting the black flies around the lake in summer, and feeling like I died and went to heaven in fall. Life worked out in a strange way, as it often does, and I've found myself rooted "away"...in Northern California. I'm rooted with some good people though...my sweet husband and two beautiful boys. We have a good life, a really good life. But I'm still trying to figure how this away-place works. So, I'm sharing a little peek at my efforts.
