| Introduction | No, my name is not Arty. However, I do play guitar. I am a self taught guitarist. The problem: I learned to play with very little knowledge of music theory. Half of the time I write my riffs, I don't understand what I am technically doing - I just base my knowledge on what sounds "good". Although figuring out the guitar on my own was a lot of fun, I think I am ready to try music theory. This blog serves to track my progress of relearning the guitar as well as assisting others in their efforts to learn or relearn how to play guitar as well. I am not a guitar teacher, however, I feel the best way to master anything would be to teach it to yourself. |
