| Introduction | When I was a little girl, I pictured my life a certain way. There were many things I thought I would have by this point, and I pictured myself being a certain kind of woman. In many ways, I'm really grateful that things didn't turn out the way I envisioned. Truth be told, I don't think I'm going to meet someone to share my life with. I'm not sure why, but it doesn't matter. The fact is that it's becoming more obvious that I need to find other things to focus on. The next year will be dedicated to figuring out what it is that makes me happy, what fulfills me and what brings me joy. Some of this is simply being aware and being grateful. I don't have all of my resolutions set yet, but I have a good place to start, and I'm hoping the rest will come naturally during this project. |
