About me

Introduction	Chris Williams co-owned Montana Cannabis along with three other gentlemen. Together, they formed a cooperative caregiving company that provided medicine to hundreds of terminally-ill and disabled patients in Montana. During the Federal raids in March 2011, the DEA destroyed close to 950 plants, less than half the number Chris was legally entitled to grow under Montana's medical marijuana law. Chris operated his greenhouse in Helena, MT openly and honestly, with oversight from State and Local law enforcement. Despite his clear and unambiguous compliance with State law, Chris was prosecuted under Federal law. He has refused all plea bargains (and a post-trial compromise), choosing to preserve his right to appeal his case to the 9th Circuit Court.
