| Introduction | I'm a native of Peru, Illinois -- located along the Illinois River, which is now infested with Asian carp -- and graduated from LaSalle-Peru Township High School, Illinois Valley Community College and Illinois State University. I have been an editor, reporter and columnist at four different newspapers. I'm the author of "All the Good in Sports" and co-author of "Bear With Me -- A Family History of George Halas and the Chicago Bears." Additionally, I am a regular guest on "The Don of Sports" program, which can be heard online on the Windy City Hometown Entertainment Network (www.windycityhometown.com).
