Introduction	I commenced my professional journey in 1980 for the simple goal of finding out how to best train myself, a question that I strugged with since the age of about 7 years old, when my first mentor took me into my first gymnasium - the YMCA of Port Moresby, PNG. As a result of this decision to search for the answers in formal study, I have spent the last 30 years learning, discovering and sharing my conclusions with athletes and coaches in a wide range of sports throughout the world.
