IntroductionI'm not an athlete, but have decided it's time for me to become one. After losing 40 lbs on weight watchers, I woke up one morning and decided to take up running. I'd lost the weight, now I wanted to be in shape too. I'm recording my thoughts as I progress towards my ultimate goal of completing a half marathon in February 2014. Along the way there will be 5ks, 10ks, shinsplints, motrin, and hopefully no injuries. The main purpose of this blog is to keep me going, so I can look back and remember why I decided to make this commitment, and why its worth it to push through the pain.
