About me

GenderFemale
LocationNorthern New Jersey, United States
IntroductionI am a 52 year old mom of ONE, a 24 year old daughter. Married 25 + years and gave up a "career" to live my life "disabled" by Fibro. Are you tired, depressed, in pain and hopeless? I am here to tell you that I was sinking quickly into a depression and bordering on suicidal. My goal is to help those who are where I WAS, become positive, hopeful and enjoy a life that will be better than if you had never developed Fibro at all, REALLY!! Now, why pass up that "challenge"? You have NOTHING to lose...and potentially EVERYTHING to gain.
InterestsFitness, health, making life better for those around me, especially those who suffer from this debilitating illness.Volunteering time and "talents" when I can. Working part-time when I can. I walk every day, even when I don't feel like it. I strive to be the most positive person I know. It's working and I hope to make it work for others. There is a key, one very solid key. You'll find out as you get to know my blog and me.
Favorite moviesContact, Pale Rider,The Wrong Man, The Third Man,really anything "classic"...or as some say "OLD". I find "old" movies more relaxing and less traumatizing than modern day horror or drama. Less....stress = less pain.
Favorite musicEverything from Classical to Metal. There's a time and place for everything. I also enjoy modern inspirational (AKA Christian music). We have two stations available in the NY Metro area.
Favorite booksI love inspirational books, which, of course, includes the Bible. I also love fiction/novels. I love reading in general.

Why don't you ever wear a scarf? It doesn't need to be cold outside for your neck to feel naked.

Funny you mention it, I ALWAYS, or should I say, OFTEN wear a scarf. My neck can be a source of pain and when a "draft" or cold air hit it, it hurts. I've amassed quite a collection of scarves. Love them all. I probably have more scarves than clothing. Financially friendly, because they are "smaller" than purchasing an entire outfit, but they can change the "look" and "feel" of ANY outfit. :)
