| Introduction | Once upon a time I had a "real job", you know the kind people actually PAY you to do, as a for-real Interior Designer.... Then my husband and I decided to take a major (and boy do I mean major) gamble and quit our very secure jobs. He got a fancy job making insane amounts of money in the oil industry.... me, I stayed home with the kiddos. So long story short: he got laid off, neither of us could get our somewhat lame, yet secure jobs back and we ended up 381 miles east of our "home" where he actually found a job and we could afford to live. Now I'm a full-time SAHM, in the world’s tiniest town and most days I'm not sure where life is taking me. Sometimes it’s hard to make sense of it all. I’ve asked myself at least a thousand times what did we do?? But really we’re happy because we are together. However, I miss all my friends in the Okie state a lot... and I've decided that talking to myself isn't that healthy, I should write to myself instead!?! I'm hoping that blogging will get some of my crazy ideas out of my head so I can have more room for new ones! |
