Introduction	Greg Locsin was born in New York City and raised in the Philippines where he started painting in his teens, under the tutelage of his mother. He attended the University of Hawaii majoring in Agriculture and Journalism, having been convinced by his father that he would not eat if he pursued art. After several varied careers, he returned to the pursuit of creating art. He is mostly self-taught, but has studied photography, drawing and painting at the Portland School of Fine and Applied Arts and the Maine College of Art, as well as continuing education courses in St. John , Canada and others presented by Debra Bickford of Bull Pine Studio in Maine. Having moved to Algorfa in 2010, Greg now divides his time between painting and cycling, being fed by a pension.
