Introduction | Hello, my name is Marilyn and I am a self taught artist with a studio in a small town in Northern New York, along the beautiful St. Lawrence River. I have a wonderful husband,3 gorgeous daughters, and 6 awesome grandsons! I've painted original designs as well as patterns from books and pattern packets for over 28 years. I enjoy things that are interesting and unique along with having a real love for vintage and time worn. Hand painted Items -Hand Stitched.. and more.... I love spring, summer, winter and fall, but my favorite season is winter and Santa is one of my favorite guys! You're going to see him often in my artwork - in many shapes and forms. Over the years I've sold hundreds of Santa Claus to collectors around the world. One surface I enjoy using is natural dried gourds. Back in 1985 I saw a gourd painted as a Santa and dated "1880 Ohio State Fair" and I was hooked! I plan to offer some of my original Santa gourd designs to you. I will always sign and date them, so someone.. somewhere... sometime.... can read "20??-hand painted gourd" and hopefully "get hooked" too. Can't wait to meet you! |
