| Introduction | The Lakes Area Memory Awareness Advocates (LAMAA) is a local initiative, promoted by the Minnesota Alzheimer’s Association, to prepare everyone on the impact that dementia will have on our families, our friends, our neighbors and our communities as a whole. Our advocates are from various communities like Long Prairie, Onamia, Aitkin, Staples, Nisswa and the Brainerd Lakes Area. We are all volunteers and are all touched in some way by someone we know affected by Alzheimer’s disease or another dementia. |
