| Introduction | Elizabeth Grimaldi is a writing instruction expert and Teacher of English at the middle and secondary level with nineteen years teaching experience. She has worked successfully to assist students with a range of ability levels and can help every student meet their potential. Mrs. Grimaldi holds a B.A. in English, and a M.Ed. in English Education from Rutgers University. Additionally, as a writing consultant/advisor to the committee for the review of national writing standards, she has been employed by the American Council on Education, Washington D.C., working with Carol Iago and other notable researchers. As a presenter at the annual NCTE convention, Ms. Grimaldi presented her innovative curriculum designed for a specialized high school in New Brunswick, NJ, and her methods for motivating at-risk teens and non-readers. A resident of Metuchen, she is an avid student of the Yang style Tai Chi form, an enthusiastic book club participant; loves pizza and the Jersey shore (not the TV show).
