GenderFemale
OccupationStay-at-home Mom
LocationChicago, IL
IntroductionI'm a 29-year-old aspiring writer learning how to find my voice again amongst the din of raising my 2-year-old special needs daughter alongside my husband and our five pets. I'm a near constant daydreamer, a lover of great romances, both in movies, books and everyday life. I'm a voracious reader and often have multiple books going at once. I'm a wannabe gardener, an environmentalist who uses all chemical-free products in my home, a feminist and I'm admittedly, terribly mathematically challenged.
InterestsReading, photography, watching movies, drinking chai tea before my daughter wakes, writing poetry or prose, though I haven't written anything personal in awhile. This is my attempt to unplug whatever stopped the words, and start them flowing again.
Favorite moviesLast of the Mohicans, Cold Mountain, Love Actually, Pride and Prejudice, While You Were Sleeping, Elizabeth, Wild Horses Can't Be Broken
Favorite musicSarah McLachlan, David Gray, Ryan Adams, James Blunt, Jewel, Jack Johnson, Goo Goo Dolls, Aaron Neville, Carole King, James Taylor, John Denver, The Fray, Lifehouse
Favorite booksA Tree Grows in Brooklyn, Pride and Prejudice, Outlander books by Diana Gabaldon, anything supernatural- witchy or the undead, historical fiction about the Civil War and anything prior to the 20th Century, poetry books by Charles Bukowski and EE Cummings.

When you spilled the milk, did it look like the moon?

If the moon is loud, hairy, sticky, and populated by one small wiry, ornery child waving the milk over her head like a flag, with her five four-legged minions licking up her rain, then yes, it looked like the moon. But with cheerios for stars, our moon, my moon, is the only moon my heart knows.
