Cherish Life

Introduction Freedom 'of' religion should also be freedom 'from' religion, if one so chooses, without the stigma or stereotype that sometimes comes along with it. Never stop thinking. This is important. If someone ever says to you ‘You need to stop thinking so much', call them ignorant in your head and keep thinking deeper. It is this mentality that breeds stupidity and sheeple. Your mind is the most important tool you have, if you stop using it, it will atrophy. Question everything. Don’t be afraid to talk about anything. You shouldn’t be afraid of reality. I believe in finding the truth, even if its not what we want to hear. I believe in love, my family, friends and fun. I believe in tolerance and compassion. I see the days come and go so fast, I try to cherish the ones closest to me every day. It is often I realize I didn't know as much as I thought I did, no matter the subject.
Interests "The grass is NOT always greener on the other side. It's greener when you WATER it. The trick is to carry the water WITH you." - Wisdom from my sisters blog :) http://anytimebabeanytime.blogspot.com/ "Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance." - Confucius ‎"Cleaning your house while your kids are still growing is like shoveling the walk before it stops snowing." - Phyllis Diller “There is grandeur in this view of life, [...]from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been, and are being, evolved.” — Charles Darwin (Origin of Species) "I don’t believe just 'cause ideas are tenacious it means that they’re worthy." - from 'White Wine in the Sun' by Tim Minchin "Science has been charged with undermining morality, but the charge is unjust. A man's ethical behavior should be based effectually on sympathy, education, and social ties and needs; no religious basis is necessary. Man would indeed be in a poor way if he had to be restrained by fear of punishment and hope of reward after death." - Albert Einstein, "Religion and Science, " New York Times Magazine, 9 November 1930 "As Winston Churchill once said, 'Criticism may not be agreeable, but it is necessary. It fulfills the same function as pain in the human body. It calls attention to an unhealthy state of things.'" "All things are subject to interpretation. Whichever interpretation prevails at a given time is a function of power and not truth." - Friedrich Nietzsche "I may not agree with what you say, but I will fight to the death for your right to say it" -Voltaire "The occasion is piled high with difficulty and we must rise with the occasion. As our case is new, we must think anew and act anew. We must disenthrall ourselves and then we shall save our country." -Abraham Lincoln "Extraordinary events require extraordinary evidence!" - unknown Feelings are subjective and fallible when it comes to deciphering objective truth.
