About me

Introduction Sonya Behnke has been active in the nonprofit sector since way back in 2006. She first became interested in problems-that-can't-be-solved as a student at Wesleyan University; she then went on to become arrogant enough to try to solve them anyway as a graduate student and Waldemar A. Nielsen Philanthropy Fellow at the Georgetown University Public Policy Institute. Sonya's work has been published in "The Nonprofit Quarterly" as well as "The Chronicle of Philanthropy." She has worked and volunteered for a variety of nonprofit organizations in Washington, DC, and is currently a fundraiser for Catholic Charities. Sonya is fascinated by the nonprofit sector and desperately needs a venue to talk about it so she can stop boring friends and relatives. Sonya's views in no way represent those of Catholic Charities.
