Introduction Years ago when I pictured the kind of Mama I would be, I imagined myself trendy and hip, dressed in self-designed clothing and carrying an angel-faced wee bairne or two in one hand and a low-fat iced mocha in the other. It would be as though I had transitioned seamlessly from hip grad student to trendy designer to multi-tasking wife, pausing briefly once or twice to give birth, then picking right back up and sprinting off with kids in tow. Man, I’m glad I didn’t bet money on that one. Now the proud mama of two delightful children who have food allergies, lots of energy, and incredible imaginations, I am just now navigating back to that mental picture buried deep in my mind. I am a former ballet instructor and costume designer, and now volunteer for Kids With Food Allergies, Inc. (KFA), a nationwide nonprofit food allergy organization that offers support, resources, and cooking and baking support for families managing food allergy. I love sewing and design, crafting, music, and cooking & baking. Yeah, that last one surprised me, too.
Interests Sewing, crafting, costume design, allergen-free cooking and baking, Kids With Food Allergies (KFA), writing, yoga, coffee, more coffee...
