| Introduction | Our blog was started in 2012 when we took off to explore Europe in our camper van. Mike had spent years in the hospitality industry but decided at 57 that life was too short to spend 70 hours a week working. However what to do next? Travel seemed an excellent idea. Jacqui qualified as a pharmacist many years ago and works at Keele University. The decision to spend a year meandering around Europe was a great one but we settled down to life back in England very quickly. We have had many positive comments about the blog that accompanied us around Europe and so periodically we add to this when we go away. Between us we have 6 children, 3 girls and 3 boys aged from 10 years to 28 years. We are now the proud owners of Rosie, our beautiful golden retriever and an unpredictable cat called Sushi. Both are looked after by family or friends when we go away if they cannot accompany us. |
