| Introduction | I grew up mostly in Haleyville, Winston, Alabama, living with my grandmother and Uncle Ben. I loved to hear the stories about the early pioneers, panthers, bears, and their hardiness. They were great examples and influenced my life in many ways. Met my lovely bride, Denise, in Flint, Michigan while spending time with my mother and family. Loved the idea of travel and adventure so I joined the Air Force and we spent 20 years living in different, cool (and sometimes hot) places. Ended up living in Alabama, near 4 of our 6 kids and their families. |
