Introduction I cast off my pretense before you, though it never fully falls away from me. Sometimes I wish my poetic soul would consume me...I become tantalizingly inspired by music, senses, beauty, nature, memories and people... I am an awfully conflicted person. The caging of my perfectionist has alleviated this to some degree, but her howls can still be heard... *I love light, but to be in darkness. *I am 'myself' in public, but only in the lonely wild will my soul awaken: here I am in my element. *The future enthralls and intrigues me, but as I arrive I become disillusioned and ennuied. *I rejoice in healing: My delight is pain. *I love chaos for the order it entails. *I am more complete for the bareness of my feet. *Truth my advocate, Deception my tool. --> I am a Self-evident Paradox. "I contain multitudes" but there is only a selective view presented here. -consistently inconsistent I am- If you have trouble understanding me, or just can't take me seriously, I invite you simply to step into my world (I get lonely here, though Nobody does keep me company) > > >
Interests fire, existentialism, singing, the necessity and redemption of chaos, outside activities, deserted civilization, drawing, secret missions, people and their relations and understanding, the meeting pool of fiction and fact and the redefining of reality, creating, ethics, rooftops, nature and the appreciation/experience thereof, traveling, spiritual growth and living, especially the road not taken, running for speed not training, beauty, the elements, shared human experience through reading and writing, wilderness, diversity, implications and connections, energy, philosophy, change, speculating and postulating, discovery, rebellion, hiding in small or unknown places, poetry, animals (the dead ones included), the metaphysical, sustainability, love and its ultimate source, climbing (give me a challenge), intelligent conversation and repartee, exploding, burning convention, mysteries, dancing, infinitude....
Favorite Movies The Illusionist, Hoodwinked, V for Vendetta, Big Fish, A Beautiful Mind, The Princess Bride, Harry Potters, Pride and Prejudice, the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, El Laberinto del Fauno, Iron Giant, Donnie Darko, Pirates, (Lady in the Water)
Favorite Music I am newly inspired to search for more meaningful and passion driven songs, expressions of art rather than those written out of lust for money as seen in pop culture. I enjoy variation (classical, indie, alternative, some praise, ballads [especially sung by Joan Baez] rock, cultural...) I have an ear for a haunting, eerie tune. Some soundtracks that I've liked include Pirates of the Caribbean, Lord of the Rings, and the most recent Pride and Prejudice. I also enjoy pieces composed by Bach, Handel, and Whoshisface. I try to avoid the radio which has been corrupted with songs not from the heart but from the stomach or other lowly organs. Simon and Garfunkel, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Barenaked Ladies, Blessed Union of Souls, Mae, Sublime, Something Corporate, and Blink 182 are a few bands I've come across (in my relatively low exposure) and liked the music of, some I merit only in their dancibility. I can appreciate the pioneering contributions to rock the Beatles have made, and I adore the song Mad World.
Favorite Books I love to read, but I have a hard time choosing favorites. Some that come to mind at present which I know have made the cut include: The Forlorn Forest, Harry Potter books, Jane Eyre, Kierkegaard's Fear and Trembling, Invisible Man (Ellison), Lord of the Rings trilogy, and (of course?) the Bible--different kind of favorite. A Tale of Two Cities and King Lear are also beautiful works. Poe's brilliant madness fascinates me.

How can you say that I am mad?
