About me

Introduction	John first worked as an actor with various theatre companies, and in between acting jobs was an occasional letting agent and also stood around in bookshops dressed as a viking. He also wrote for theatre, various plays, sketches, and stories, and was artistic director of EverAfter Theatre Company. Alongside this, he worked teaching the Bible in churches and universities around the UK. In 2010 he and his wife moved to Japan to learn Japanese and work with the Japanese church. He currently pastors a church in Sapporo, Hokkaido. In Japan, his writing has turned its focus predominantly to poetry, though ideas for novels and plays will keep getting in the way. He is married to Sian and they have two children, Seth and Joy. He wrote this profile all by himself, but the mysterious hand of convention led his fingers to the third person keys.
