| Introduction | The idea of adoption entered our lives over 10 years ago. Dale & I had multiple infertility issues. I underwent surgery, many rounds of Clomid, shots and progesterone. Nothing was working. We then started researching adoption. Before we got too far, we tried artificial insemination...and on the 2nd round we got pregnant! And 2 years later...blessed again!! We have 2 amazing boys!! Yet, 10 years later that seed that was planted in our hearts to adopt ...bloomed. It was clear to us that we were always meant to adopt. It was all God's timing! We are thrilled to share this journey and hope that it inspires those thinking of adopting and even helps those IN your journey of adopting. I know that I had tremendous fear about adopting... fear of not being able to handle the emotion of it, the fear of not being a good enough mother to my other children, fear of the effects of institutionalization on orphans...etc. However, this is one verse that lifted it and brings peace of mind & heart. I pray it speaks to anyone that has these fears. KJV Romans 8:15 "For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption" |
