Introduction	On September 18, 2008, Beverly Kohl was volunteering on the Oklahoma Southern Baptist Disaster Relief Team in Baton Rouge, LA, following Hurricane Gustav, when she fainted after a long day’s work, and fell. She fell about 5 feet from the portable kitchen located on a converted tractor trailer, to the concrete below and broke her neck. This spinal cord injury was at level C5, C6 and left her paralyzed from about her chest down. She spent over 4 months in ICU, Critical Care Units and Rehabilitation. She returned home to Tahlequah, OK in January and is making small improvements each week. She feels she couldn’t have made it through this ordeal without her family and friends and the thousands of people who have been praying for her.
