Introduction	I was born on November 21, 1969, in Donora, Pennsylvania. In 1987, I was the first overall pick in Major League Baseball amateur draft by the Seattle Mariners. Although I was consider to be one of the top baseball players in the nation during the early 1990's, a series of injuries would dramatically decrease my stature. In 1997, I rebounded by leading the AL in runs, total bases, home runs, and RBI's, winning the AL MVP Award. Currently I am playing centerfield for the Cincinnati Reds, the same team where my father made a name for himself.
