| Introduction | I am deeply in love with dear and beautiful Romania and with Juliette Binoche. Sadly however Juliette and I have only a platonic relationship, on account of her having never heard of me. I also happen to believe that people crazy enough to think they can change the world, are usually people who do. For good or for worse that is. |
| Interests | Architectural restoration with specific interests in the English (Early Georgian, Tudor), Greek (Cycladic vernacular) and Romanian (traditional Wallachian and Transylvanian). I am particular fond of the Romanian 'Cule' a form of fortified mansion owned by small to medium landed Wallachian gentry. There are still about 25 of them across Southern Romania in various states of dereliction. Anybody up for a Grand Design project? Sociology of ethnic transition and social mobility. Middle Eastern travel, history and current affairs. Also interested in getting a Beagle dog which I am going to call Beagle. |
