If you were a pirate, how would you avoid laughing when saying 'poop deck'?

If I'm a pirate - I'll probably think "poop deck" is funny as hell and laugh anyway. And pull out my awesome sword on anyone who says different and make them walk the plank. (What the hell is a "poop deck" anyway??)
