Introduction Elementary school teacher, intermittent artist, former activist, still a dreamer. Half of my life thinking I'm a screw-up. This next half catching up to the fact is not quite so. Life is very, very good if you know where to look, despite the reality that for the most part, this world sucks.
Interests Education, Defeating NCLB, Fine Arts (drawing, painting, digital arts) and Graphic arts (printmaking), applied arts (paper cutting, polymer clay, papier maché, mosaics, collage, textiles, etc), politics, his- (and her-)story, writing, education, cats, creativity, women and children's issues, psychology and mental health, Buddhism, communications, civil rights, friendship, music (esp. Afro Caribbean but really, anything with a living soul), Folk and Outsider arts, homemaking, inner growth, travel, diversity, the environment, life in general.
