| Introduction | My name is Mickey Sperlich, and I am a Certified Professional Midwife with nearly 20 years experience helping women on the journey of pregnancy and birth. I am a mother of two grown children and have been married since 1980.
I have appreciated being a midwife and mother and learning so much from the women and families I have served… and from mothering my own children. I am recently retired from full-time midwifery, but continuing to focus on women’s health issues. I currently manage various research projects looking at the effects of posttraumatic stress on childbearing at the University of Michigan’s Institute for Research on Women and Gender. |
