| Introduction | At the age of 19 I became a convinced socialist and Marxist. At the end of 1970 I joined the movement which developed into the Democratic Socialist Party and have been an active socialist ever since. The DSP played a key role in establishing the Socialist Alliance and today I am an enthusiastic member of that organisation. With the world in the shadow of catastrophic climate change, I am more convinced than ever that the choice facing humanity is either socialism or extinction. This site collects most of the articles and talks I have produced since the end of 1991. I hope that they may be useful to people interested in grappling with some of the basic ideas of socialism and Marxism. |
