| Introduction | I am a songwriter of Contemporary Jewish Music (CJM) as well as faith-based and inspirational music around Hartford, CT. From my first prayer-based composition, almost 12 years ago, I have written over 25 CJM melodies and been a part of our temple band, the Friday Night Music Project, who have led worship services with our original CJM throughout New England. In 2008,I released a CD of my CJM, Project benDavid, produced by Beth Schafer, and featuring the voices of Julie Silver, Beth Schafer, Josh Nelson, Peri Smilow. My second recording venture, in the fall of 2009, captured more original music in a wonderful analog studio in the CT woods with fellow musician Eric Lichter. In my travels, presenting a workshop entitled "Finding the Music in Prayer", I've traveled and interviewed worship leaders and musicians around the world to see what makes them tick, and to get their vision for where CJM fits into the lifestyle of today's worshipers, who are looking for spirituality, but not always finding it in traditional worship.
