| Introduction | One of my favorite Spanish phrases is "pintar tu lienzo". It means to paint your canvas; and that's precisely what I'm doing in Costa Rica for 37 days. I plan to "pintar mi lienzo" and enjoy this very rare opportunity to experience living in Costa Rica. After being laid off from American Express (no sad face), I've decided to take a break from my career and enjoy some sun and surf, and spend time figuring out what I want to do next. It's scary and exciting all at the same time. But I know that the times that I've learned most about myself have been when I have traveled or felt generally unsure about my next move. So my job will be to enjoy the beach, speak Spanish, take hikes, do some crazy hard yoga at Vida Asana, eat great food, check out the World Surf Games from August 1 - 8 and hang with my girl Sandy (otherwise known as Stacy).
